Hi, we have recently finished a long and arduous van conversion. This said, we loved every moment and we are delighted with the finished product. Our project was an 03 plate VW LT35 and was my old works van. We designed the van with the dream in mind of shooting off with our 2 youngest children, Kate, 12 years old and Rowan 10 years old. We needed as big a living area as possible yet be able to convert the van to sleep 2 adults and 2 children during the night. The idea was born and we set about making pole stretchers and mounting cups. I am a mechanical engineer and I become continually vexed by shoddy craftsmanship and products that fail –especially when it’s deliberate!!!!

The point is, that my design brief was “aesthetically pleasing, 100% functional, and ROBUST”. They looked and worked like a dream! They are quick and easy to put up and take down, roll up small and lay under the seats, taking little room and Kate and Rowi find them really comfortable.
